Julie Benz will stick around Wisteria Lane a little longer: The Dexter actress' stay on
Desperate Housewives has been extended, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Benz, who made her Housewives debut on Jan. 31, was originally slated to appear in
three episodes but will now appear in an undetermined number of additional
episodes. Executive producer Bob Daily told Zap2it that her character, a former
stripper named Robin, will be getting very close with one of the housewives.
"Robin will be getting into a friendship," he said. "That maybe turns into more than a
friendship with Katherine [Dana Delany]. Katherine has had kind of a rough year and I
think she's open to new experiences."
Benz also hinted about her character's romantic future. "There's some very sexy stuff
that goes on," she told TVGuide.com. But Benz said there are speed bumps ahead
as well. "Robin meets everyone on Wisteria Lane and her arrival causes trouble on the lane in an indirect manner."
